Hi Girls! I hope everyone is having a good day-mine was great because today was the last day of school for the kids!!!! Hallelujah! Anyway, my time to blog is here- so here goes. I have been reading the book of Jeremiah-a sometimes dry read, with spurts of encouraging words to hold on to. But as I read, I think about God's people today and compare them to the time of Jeremiah. I also think about the beginning of 1 Cor. 10 which talks about God's people in the wilderness that were all guided by God but laid low in the wilderness because of disobedience. Two ideas: 1. Turning away from God through our choices leads to destruction-sin is not worth it 2. As God's people, even if we are disciplined for a short or long time, God is always faithful and will never forsake us because in Jeremiah destruction of God's people was prophesied- but also their restoration (Also, those in Jeremiah who were used to discipline his people were dealt with also in the end-God will contend with those who contend with us.) Will you join me in praying for God's people -that we will seek after him, try to stay focused on him through our busy lives, and walk in obedience-which is becoming clearer to me that BELIEVING God and his word is the best way to be able to do that. I hope I'm not getting too deep but that is what I was thinking about so that's what I wanted to write! I hope you all have a good night and week.
Love Valerie
